Cuba congratulates Ghana on its 60th Anniversary of Independence

On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the independence of Ghana, the President of the Councils of State and of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, H.E Raúl Castro Ruz, has sent a message of congratulation to President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The message of the Cuban President is an example of the relationships between Cuba and Ghana, established in 1959 by two anti colonialist fighters, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro.

United Kingdom, 6 March 2017. - A Seminar entitled Getting into and understanding Cuba today was carried out and organized by the Centre for Research on Cuba of the University of Nottingham.

The opening of the event was led by the Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Teresita Vicente Sotolongo, and scholars Antoni Kapcia and Nigel White from the University of Nottingham and Emily Morris from University College London were in charge of the presentations.

The Tehran Mayor's Office convened its traditional annual tree planting ceremony to contribute to the reforestation of the city and its surroundings, in which representatives of the Bolivarian Alliance for Peoples of the Our America- Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) were present.

 

The official ceremony was chaired by the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Ali Larijani, and the Mayor of Tehran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and was attended by City Council officials and members of the accredited Diplomatic Corps.

Success Laventille Secondary School launched its Cuba-Trinidad and Tobago Educational and Cultural Exchange, reciprocal visit with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

Under the motto "defend the union, dignity and sovereignty of Our America," the Heads of State and Government of the ALBA member countries met in the Venezuelan capital on March 5, approving a combative declaration of solidarity with the Revolution Bolivarian, subjected to all kinds of threats and accusations infamous in a campaign orchestrated by the extreme right sells country with the support of the external forces of imperialism.

Port of Spain, March 5. - The National Folkloric Group of Cuba began its work program in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago with a colorful and emotional welcome by its Trinidadian hosts, an event which included the presence of the Honorable Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, and two other Trinidadian ministers from the Portfolios of Commerce and Public Works. The Cuban cultural delegation, made up of 35 artists and directors of the laureate company, arrives in Trinidad and Tobago, invited by the "Success Laventille" Secondary School, located in one of the humblest regions of the Trinidadian capital, which has been promoting and leading a fruitful educational-cultural program which began in 2015 with the visit to Cuba of his musical band of Steel Pan, a national Trinidadian instrument. To achieve its objective, Success Laventille School has enjoyed the enthusiastic support of the Cuban Embassy in the Caribbean country and the Ministry of Education and the Trinidadian Chancellery, as well as the sponsorship of a diverse representation of public and private companies of the Caribbean country.
