Cuban dancers invited to perform during the 25th Anniversary of Israel Lovell Foundation

Cuban contemporary dancers, Yuleisy Linares and Yunier Hernandez, both teachers and soloists of the JJ Traditional Dance Company, participated as special guests in the artistic cultural festival organized by the Israel Lovel Foundation to celebrate its 25th Anniversary in Bridgetown during the second half of August. Their outstanding performance was highlighted by the Barbadian press having a rave review.

Members of a fact finding mission to Cuba organised by the chamber of Comerce of Trinidad and Tobago express their experiences.

Trinidad y Tobago, July 27, 2015 - In a ceremony organized by the Friendship Association of Trinidad and Tobago "Friends of Cuba", the Cuban Brigades of al Health and Sport and the Embassy of Cuba in Trinidad and Tobago, was commemorated the 62nd anniversary 62nd anniversary of the Assault on the Moncada Barracks. In this ocation more than two hundred Cuban health and sport practicioners in this Caribbean country were present, accompanied by dozens of Trinitarian friends all over the island.

Nassau, July 14th, 2015. Today arrived to Habana The Hon. Hope Strachan, Minister of Financial Services of The Bahamas, with the objective of fulfilling an invitation of her Cuban counterpart Minister Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz.

The member of the Bahamian parliament, also heads a delegation that will attend the Cuba-Caribbean Business Forum, taking place in Santiago de Cuba on July 15th-17th.

Cubans and Barbadians to celebrate Father's Day.

In an activity of social fellowship, animated by a musical environment, sun and beach, and the excellent ties between the people of two Caribbean islands such as Cuba and Barbados, Father's Day was celebrated in St. James between friends and relatives of the Cuban Embassy, sports coaches working in Barbados, members of the Cuban resident´s community and friends of the Barbadian solidarity organizations.

Intellectuals in Barbados to create the Caribbean Chapter - Network in Defense of Humanity.

Motivated by the challenges currently facing the humanity and the need to unite to face them effectively, a leading group of Caribbean academics and intellectuals, among which highlights the eminent Dr. George Lamming, met in Barbados to analyze the possibilities of creating the Caribbean Chapter of the existing Network in Defense of Humanity (EDH), created 11 years ago in Bolivarian Venezuela, currently represented by national chapters on different continents.

Trinidad and Tobago held a seminar to promote Investment in Cuba that was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of that country.

There were presentations by various Trinidadian organizations, the Cuban Ambassador as well as the Director of Industry and Commerce of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

AUGUSTINE, Trinidad and Tobago, 16 may 2015. – His Excellency Guillermo Vázquez Moreno, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Trinidad and Tobago, paid a courtesy call on University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine Pro Vice-Chancellor and Campus Principal, Professor Clement Sankat on April 22. The two met to discuss possibilities for collaboration, particularly in Research and Innovation Management Systems, Molecular Science, Agro-processing, specialist Health Services, Music, Arts and Culture, Software Development, Informatics and the preservation of historical buildings. Also in attendance was Mr. Sharan Singh, Director of The UWI St. Augustine’s Office of Institutional Advancement and Internationalization.

BAHAMAS, May 11th, 2015.- On Saturday, May 9, the Bahamian capital vibrated to the rhythm of the prominent Cuban group Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco who were invited to close the "Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival", first of its kind celebrated in this territory.

The Cuban group visited the Bahamas invited by the Organizing Committee of the "Junkanoo Carnival Bahamas" and was part of a group of bands, mostly Caribbeans, that contaminated the city last Saturday night.
