Cuban professors carry out social and academic activities at the Norwegian University of Stavanger
Oslo, October 1st, 2024. Last week, Cuban professors who are on an academic exchange stay at the University of Stavanger, had several social and academic activities, which have contributed to their integration into the multicultural community present at the University, and to their training process in gender issues and social work.
Norwegian trade unionists take part in training course for Cuban trade union leaders
Oslo, October 1, 2024. From September 23 to 27, the Cuban provinces of Villa Clara and Cienfuegos hosted the third edition of the training course for Cuban union leaders, organized in collaboration between the Norwegian Union of Municipal and State Employees (FAGFORBUNDET) and the National Union of Public Administration Workers of Cuba (SNTAP).
The course aimed to contribute to comprehensive training in Labor Law, with special attention to two important topics: collective bargaining of labor agreements and the fight against discrimination, violence and harassment at work.

I dedicate these first words to ratify Cuba’s solidarity and support to the brotherly people of Palestine, victim of more than 75 years of colonial occupation, flagrant violations to their legitimate rights as a nation, submitted to cruelty, aggressions, collective punishments and apartheid.
It is an unacceptable tragedy, plain for all to see; it’s a wound in human consciousness.
At the Norwegian University of Stavanger, Cuban professors offer an overview of social work in Cuba
Oslo, September 27, 2024. This Monday, September 23, at the University of Stavanger (UiS for its acronym in Norwegian), a presentation entitled “Brief Overview of Social Work in Latin America and Cuba” took place, by a group of Cuban professors, as part of the academic exchange promoted by the collaboration project “Well-being in Cuba and Norway. Strengthening professional training on social policies and well-being from an intercultural perspective”, existing between the Department of Sociology of the University of Havana (UH) and the Department of Social Studies of the UiS.
The Cuban Ambassador meets with Deputy Director of the Section for UN Policy of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Oslo, September 23, 2024. Hanne Melfald, Deputy Director of the Section for UN Policy, Department for Multilateral Affairs, of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received the Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres.
During the meeting, both highlighted the existing cooperation between the two countries within the framework of the United Nations system.
