The Cuban Ambassador interacts with Norwegian Prime Minister and Second Vice President of the Parliament (Storting)

Oslo, October 8, 2024. On October 2, during a reception that took place at the end of the State Opening of the 169th  Storting (Norwegian Parliament), the Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, along with her colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps, had the opportunity to greet and interact with relevant Norwegian personalities, including the Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, and the Second Vice President of the Storting, Nils T. Bjørke, of the Centre Party (SP), re-elected to that position in the constitutive session of the legislative body that took place on October 1.

Oslo, October 7, 2023. Along with her female colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Norway, the Cuban ambassador, Maité Rivero Torres, participated in a meeting with the Minister of International Development of Norway, Anne Beathe Tvinnereim.

It was a great opportunity for listening to the Minister's views and assessments on topics of interest, such as gender equality, women's empowerment, the current international situation and Norway's policy and priorities on international cooperation and official development assistance, among others. Cuban Ambassador to Norway attends the State Opening of the 169th Storting

Oslo, October 2, 2024. Along with her colleagues from the Diplomatic Corps, the Ambassador of Cuba to the Kingdom of Norway, Maité Rivero Torres, attended the State opening of the 169th session of the Storting (the Norwegian Parliament).

The Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, handed over the Speech from the Throne to His Majesty the King Harald V, who read it. Through it, the Storting was informed about the Government's program for the year ahead.
