Pakistani press highlights Cuba's support to the Palestinian cause.

Islamabad, March 8, 2024 _The extensive daily coverage that the Pakistani press is giving to the Israeli invasion against Gaza has reserved several spaces this week to highlight Cuba's support to the cause of the Palestinian people.

Some of the most important media of the country, such as Dawn, The Daily Jang, The News and the Daily Intekhab echoed the popular rally held last Sunday, March 3, in front of the US embassy in Havana, highlighting the large participation of young Cubans and other nationalities in it.

Islamabad, October 4, 2023 _Pakistan's Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Nadeem Jan, received today the Cuban Ambassador Zéner Caro, in a meeting that both parties agreed to describe as friendly and fruitful.

In agreeing on the need to increase bilateral cooperation, Dr. Nadeem praised Cuba's performance in the area of public health and commented on his government's most recent initiatives, such as the future establishment of a pharmaceutical park that will improve the country's capacity to be self-sufficient in most basic medicines.

Jamal Nasir, a surgeon in a clinic in his native Jhelum, about 120 kilometers from Islamabad. Akram Asi, a cardiologist, likes to be called Carlos. Dr. Rabia, a gynecologist, is a consultant at two hospitals in Islamabad. They all have something in common: they are graduates of the Latin American School of Medicine in Cuba.

Pakistan's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs receives Cuban ambassador.

Islamabad, April 28, 2022 _Pakistan's new Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, today expressed her country's determination to consolidate friendly and cooperative relations with Cuba and its people.

While receiving Cuban ambassador Zéner Caro on a courtesy call, the Pakistani diplomat also fondly recalled the assistance provided by the island to her country after the earthquake that devastated the South Asian nation in October 2005.
