Cuban and Qatari authorities celebrate the 32nd anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The Ambassador of Cuba to Qatar, Oscar Leon Gonzalez, participated in the ceremony of planting 32 trees in Doha, along with members of the Embassy staff of the Republic of Cuba and the Cuban medical brigade working in the brotherly country. The action marks the thirty-second anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of Cuba and the State of Qatar, initiated on December 13, 1989.

Friends of Cuba visit the Cuban Embassy in Qatar

Cuban Ambassador to Qatar, HE Oscar León González, and other officials of the Embassy held a pleasant meeting with Lebanese and Palestinian friends residing in Qatar. The occasion was propitious to exchange on current affairs in Cuba, including the successful vaccination campaign against COVID 19, the resumption of economic and social activities in the country, the total opening of our borders to visitors as of November 15 and the celebration of the 502nd anniversary of the founding of Havana.

Cuba and Qatar express their willingness to collaborate in the education sector

On Tuesday, November 9, executives from the Ministries of Education of the Republic of Cuba and Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar held a virtual meeting as part of the cooperation actions between the two countries. During the meeting, different topics related to universal basic education were discussed, especially from early childhood to pre-university level, as well as the preparation of personnel, special education and educational programs implemented by both Ministries.

Cuban Ambassador to Qatar visited the headquarters of the "Gulf Times" newspaper

The Cuban Ambassador to Qatar, Oscar León González visited on Wednesday the Gulf Times newspaper office. He held a meeting with Mr Faisal Abdulhameed al-Mudahka, Editor-in-Chief. Cooperation between Cuba and Qatar and ways and means for its improvement were topics discussed during the meeting. The Ambassador thanked the Gulf Times for its coverage of stories from Cuba.

New health protocols for travelers from November 7

Cuba is heading towards a controlled and staggered reopening of its borders, with a view to the coming November 15; which has among its security guarantees, that more than 90% of the Cuban population will be vaccinated with the scheme established for that date.

In correspondence with the results achieved, the International Sanitary Control measures that were adopted are made more flexible and new protocols are established.
