Ambassador met the Saudi-Cuban Parliamentary Friendship Committee in Shura
Riyadh, January 20th – Responding to a previous invitation from the president of the Saudi-Cuban Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Consultative Council (Shura), Dr. Ibrahim Bin Mahmoud Al-Nahas, the Ambassador of Cuba, Vladimir González Quesada, met the members of the abovementioned committee to offer an update on the Island from the political, economic and social point of view as well as an assessment of the current state of bilateral relations.

Riyadh, January 1st - On the occasion of the National Day, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and King of Saudi Arabia, His Majesty Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, sent a congratulation telegram to the President of the Republic of Cuba, His Excellency Miguel Diaz-Canel. In his message, the monarch expressed the sincerest congratulations and best wishes for health and happiness to His Excellency, as well as greater progress and prosperity to the government and people of the Island.
The Cuban Embassy in Riyadh celebrates the 63rd anniversary of the Revolution
Riyadh, January 1st - At night on December 31st, the staff of the Cuban Embassy in Saudi Arabia, health collaborators in Riyadh, members of the accredited Diplomatic Corps and friends of the Island, gathered at the Ambassador’s Residence to celebrate the arrival of the New Year 2022 and the 63rd anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.
The attendees, among then ambassadors from Vietnam and Guinea Bissau, shared with joy and enthusiasm a modest evening, to celebrate the last day of the year 2021, the arrival of 2022 and the new anniversary of the Revolution.
Cuba grants eight medical scholarships to Yemeni students
Riyadh, December 29th - Based on the cultural agreement in force between the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Yemen, Cuban authorities decided to grant eight scholarships to Yemeni students to begin their medical studies on the Island, at the school year 2021-2022.
The scholarships were handled with the Department of Collaboration that Cuba Offers at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX), through the agile coordination between the Embassy of Cuba in Saudi Arabia -with concurrence in Yemen- and his Yemeni counterpart.
