Seychelles launches “Maritime Week 2024”
Victoria, September 25th Maritime Week 2024, the most important maritime transport event in the Indian Ocean region, was inaugurated at the Savoy Hotel in Victoria. Businessmen, politicians, maritime authorities from the region are meeting in Seychelles from September 24th to 26th to exchange experiences, agree on new business, coordinate maritime development programs and promote the development of the region's maritime industries.
Parliamentarians from around the world urge the elimination of Cuba from the list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism.
Victoria, September 21st. Nearly 600 parliamentarians from 73 countries around the world called on the United States of America government to remove Cuba from the list of “State Sponsors of Terrorism”.
The parliamentarians wrote a joint letter, coordinated and published by Progressive International (PI), in which they condemn the designation of Cuba by the United States as a “State sponsor of terrorism” as “cynical, cruel and a clear violation of international law.”
President of Seychelles holds meeting with Minister of Health and visits Cuban scientific institutions.
Havana, September 18th. The President of Seychelles, H.E. Mr. Wavel Ramkalwan, held a cordial meeting with the Cuban minister of Health, Dr. José Ángel Portal Miranda. During the meeting, they exchanged on the historical cooperation links in the health field between Cuba and Seychelles and the existing potentialities to continue their development.
