Seychelles launches “Maritime Week 2024”

Victoria, September 25th Maritime Week 2024, the most important maritime transport event in the Indian Ocean region, was inaugurated at the Savoy Hotel in Victoria. Businessmen, politicians, maritime authorities from the region are meeting in Seychelles from September 24th to 26th to exchange experiences, agree on new business, coordinate maritime development programs and promote the development of the region's maritime industries.

Parliamentarians from around the world urge the elimination of Cuba from the list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism.

Victoria, September 21st. Nearly 600 parliamentarians from 73 countries around the world called on the United States of America government to remove Cuba from the list of “State Sponsors of Terrorism”.

The parliamentarians wrote a joint letter, coordinated and published by Progressive International (PI), in which they condemn the designation of Cuba by the United States as a “State sponsor of terrorism” as “cynical, cruel and a clear violation of international law.”

Havana, September 19th. President, Wavel Ramkalawan, met with Seychellois students in Cuba, as part of his activities during his official visit. The Seychellois president held a cordial meeting with the students, with whom he exchanged about their experience of studies in our country.
