Cuba's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, presented an update of the National Report on the Impact of the U.S. Blockade.
Havana, September 12th, 2024. The Minister exemplified the damages deliberately caused by this illegal and inhuman policy in sectors such as the economic-commercial, social, public services, energy and tourism, as well as in the non-state sector of the economy.
He also referred to the harmful effect of the arbitrary inclusion of Cuba in the unilateral list of alleged State sponsors of terrorism, which has reinforced the impact of the blockade on all aspects of the socio-economic life of the country.

Academic Ramonet demands Cuba’s exclusion from terrorist list
The Casa de las Americas in Havana supports today voiced support for the open letter French-Spanish writer Ignacio Ramonet addressed to U.S. President Joe Biden, demanding the Cuba be removed from the list of sponsors of terrorism.
The cultural institution has called on other writers, artists, cultural promoters, academics and social activists, non-governmental organizations and anyone sensitive to the daily suffering of the Cuban people, to join ‘this noble initiative with their signatures.

Cuban Foreign Ministry rejects alleged interference in U.S. elections
The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rejected in the strongest terms the accusations of alleged interference by this Caribbean nation in the local electoral campaigns of the state of Florida, in the United States.
Through a statement published on its website, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs detailed that articles in The Miami Herald newspaper and others from the McClatchy press organization, to which the newspaper belongs, began a new slanderous campaign against the island at the end of July.
