Cuban Ambassador participates in the celebration of the Constitution Day of Seychelles.
Victoria, June 18th._ Cuban Ambassador Martha Hernandez Caneiro participated in the celebration of the 31st Anniversary of the Constitution of Seychelles, at the traditional flag-raising ceremony held on the main island of Mahé, in front of the "Lavwa Lanasyon" monument at the Peace Park in Victoria.
The ceremony was attended by the President Wavel Ramkalawan, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Roger Mancienne, the Chief Justice, Rony Govinden, and other high-level government officials and members of the diplomatic corps.
Seychelles-Cuba Friendship Association celebrates its Annual General Meeting 2024
Victoria, 9th June._ The Seychelles-Cuba Friendship Association (SECUFA) held last Saturday its Annual General Meeting at the Cuban Embassy, coinciding with the first anniversary of its reactivation in June 2023, under the premise of continue fostering the historic ties of friendship and solidarity between the peoples of Seychelles and Cuba.
Cuban Ambassador meets with Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Seychelles Foreign Ministry
Victoria, May 30th._ Cuban Ambassador Martha Hernández Caneiro was received by Lindy Ernesta, Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Seychelles, where they discussed important issues of bilateral interest.
During the meeting, they talked about the current Cuban medical cooperation in the African archipelago and about future projects in the fields of culture and sports, after the signing of two cooperation agreements in these areas.
Seychelles calls for an end to U.S. arbitrariness against Cuba
Victoria, May 28._ The withdrawal of Cuba from the spurious list of countries that support terrorism was demanded today by the Seychelles-Cuba Friendship Association in a statement circulated here to the media.
The Republic of Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean, in West Africa, and the text was issued to coincide with the non-inclusion of Cuba on the list of countries that do not fully cooperate with U.S. anti-terrorism efforts, announced by U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken recently.
