Tens of thousands of young Cubans paid tribute to National Hero
Havana, Jan 27 (Prensa Latina) Tens of thousands of young Cuban people marched with torchlights along Havana streets on the night of 27J to remember the Apostle of the Independence and National Hero, Jose Marti, on the eve of his 169th birthday anniversary.
The first march of this type was led by young Fidel Castro as university student in pre-revolutionary Cuba in 1953 to remember the centenary of Marti’s birthday and condemned the crimes of Fulgencio Batista’s dictatorship (1952-1958).
Foreign Minister highlights links between Africa and Cuba
Havana, January 24--Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez highlighted the links between Cuba and Africa on the occasion of the celebration of the World Day of African Culture and Afro-descendants this Monday.
On Twitter, Rodriguez considered that this date "is a reason to celebrate the African imprint in the Cuban cultural heritage."
He added that "our common history, a rich cultural heritage, and strong identity ties strengthen unbreakable brotherhood between Africa and Cuba."
Cuban and Russian Presidents hold phone conversation
The Cuban Foreign Ministry announced that the island's President, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, held a phone conversation on Monday morning.
A statement from the Foreign Ministry described the talks as cordial and fruitful'.
"The two Heads of State reviewed the excellent relations between the two countries and discussed further development of bilateral cooperation in various spheres. They also exchanged views on international and regional agenda issues," the ministry said on Monday.
Código de las Familias with topics of interest for all Cubans
Havana, January 21-The director general of Consular Affairs and Cubans Residing Abroad at the Foreign Ministry, Ernesto Soberón, announced that people in more than 140 countries will be able to participate in the debate on the legal text by sending opinions to the Nation and Emigration website.
In a live broadcast on Facebook, the diplomatic source specified that a similar experience occurred during the debate of the current Constitution of the Republic, approved in April 2019.
Cuban émigrés attentive to help their native country
