Sri Lankan Foreign Minister received Cuban Ambassador
Colombo, November 18, 2025. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka, the Honorable Vijitha Herath, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Andrés Marcelo González Garrido, on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the cordial meeting, the Minister highlighted the dedication and work carried out by the Cuban Ambassador in strengthening the historic relations between Cuba and Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka Communist Party Secretary General received Cuban ambassador
Colombo, November 12, 2025. At the headquarters of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, Cuban Ambassador Andrés Marcelo González Garrido held a farewell meeting at the end of his mission with the Secretary General of this political organization, Dr. G. Weerasinghe, the veteran communist leader, D. E. W. Gunasekara, D.M.P. Dissanayake, secretary of the Sri Lanka-Cuba Friendship Association , and other members of the Central Committee of the SLCP, in which he thanked them for their continued support of Cuba and their solidarity with the Cuban revolution.

At the headquarters of the JVP party, or Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (People's Liberation Front), the Cuban Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Andrés Marcelo González Garrido, was received by its Secretary General, Tilvin Silva, on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.
