Colombo, February 7, 2025. The Cuban ambassador to Sri Lanka, Andrés Marcelo González Garrido, received at the Cuban diplomatic in Colombo H.E. Ihab Khalil, Ambassador-designate of the State of Palestine in Sri Lanka, to whom he reiterated the unconditional support of the government and people of Cuba to the cause of the Palestinian people.

It informed the decision to add the Cuban remittance processing company, Orbit S.A., to that list.
Sri Lanka condemns US aggressiveness against Cuba
Colombo, Feb 1 (Prensa Latina) The Peace and Solidarity Council of Sri Lanka today strongly condemned the reinstatement of Cuba in the list created by the United States of nations sponsoring terrorism.
In a statement, the organization also called for the lifting of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade that Washington has maintained for more than 60 years against the Cuban people.
As shameful, it described the decision of the recently installed Executive in the White House.

The second Trump administration in the USA, in a shameful action on its very first day in office, has reinstated Cuba on the list of “state sponsors of terrorism”. Equally, responsible is the Biden administration which, after keeping Cuba on the list for four years, after maintaining and reinforcing all the measures of the barbaric imperialist blockade, decided hypocritically at the tail end of its term to remove Cuba from the list.
