Sri Lanka. Statement of Central Committee of Frontline Socialist Party: Hands-off Cuba!
Defeat the Imperialist Intervention on Cuba!
It was reported that the Biden administration inserted the Cuba to the roster of countries “not cooperating fully” with anti-terrorist efforts, a list the U.S. State Department issues every year.
Cuba was first added to the State Department’s State Sponsors of Terrorism List (SSOT) during the Reagan administration in 1982 in order to isolate and surrender the Communist Party government which bravely stood against the imperialism.
In Sri Lanka, the Mawbima newspaper publishes a statement from the Communist Party asking the United States government to remove Cuba from the list of countries that supposedly sponsor terrorism.
Colombo, June 7, 2024. The Sinhalese-language weekly digital newspaper, Mawbima, publishes the Declaration of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka calling on the United States government to remove Cuba from the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
The Government of Sri Lanka is further requested to support this claim signed by the General Secretary of the Sri Lankan PC, Dr. G. Weerasinghe.
