Ambassador of Cuba to Sri Lanka signs book of condolences on the passing of former Vietnamese president
Colombo, May 24, 2025. Ambassador of Cuba to Sri Lanka, Andrés Marcelo González Garrido, signed a book of condolences at the Vietnamese Embassy in Colombo on the passing of former Vietnamese President Tran Duc Luong. He expressed his condolences to the Vietnamese leaders, the Vietnamese people, and the family and friends of this dear friend of Cuba.

Cuban Ambassador participated in Meeting with Sri Lankan Candidates to Study Medicine in Cuba
Colombo, April 29, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Andrés Marcelo González Garrido, along with Ms. H. G. Apsara Caldera, Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Education, participated in a meeting at the Ministry's headquarters with candidates who applied to study medicine in Cuba.
Sri Lankan Graduates in Cuba from the Central Province received the Cuban Ambassador
Kandy, April 5, 2025. During his visit to the city of Kandy, Cuban Ambassador Andrés Marcelo González Garrido was received by a group of doctors who graduated from Cuban universities and reside in this region of Sri Lanka.
During the meeting, the ambassador updated them on the situation in Cuba, the people's resistance to the tightening of the United States economic blockade and the measures announced by the new administration, as well as on the media campaigns orchestrated by enemies of the revolution to discredit Cuban medical cooperation.
