A delegation including members of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka visited the Embassy of Cuba in Sri Lanka on 1 January 2025 to convey our party’s fraternal greetings.

Colombo, Jan 4 (Prensa Latina) The Association of Sri Lankan Graduates in Cuba today expressed its confidence in the Cuban people's capacity to overcome the current adversities and signified its strength in defending its dignity and values in difficult periods.
In a statement congratulating the 66th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, the organization also expressed its solidarity with Cuba, offered its support, and wished that the future brings prosperity and peace to Cuba.

At the end of 2024, the year on which we have commemorated the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, I would like to greet the people of Sri Lanka and to thank them for their friendship, sympathy towards my country, and the solidarity that they have always shown us. Relations that were established after the visit at that time to Ceylon by Commander Ernesto Che Guevara in 1959 and from that moment have been maintained and developed.
