On May 28, the Government of the United States finally announced a group of measures aimed at implementing the policy announced on May 16, 2022. The purpose of this step, according to the text published by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), is to support the private sector in Cuba.

The People’s Liberation Front -Srilanka expresses its deep concern over the persistent designation of the Republic of Cuba on the United States State Department's State Sponsor of Terrorism List (SSOT). This list identifies and includes governments that are purportedly engaged in providing active support to violent non-state actors involved in terrorist activities. JVP finds this classification by the United States as arbitrary and unfounded.

Colombo, May 27, 2023. The Ministers of Health of Cuba, José Ángel Portal Miranda, and of the Maldives, Abdulla Khaleel, held a bilateral meeting within the framework of the 77th World Health Assembly, which will be held from this Monday, the 27th. May in Geneva (Switzerland) and will run until June 1, 2024.
