Sri Lankan Minister of Youth and Sports received Cuban ambassador
Colombo, December 26, 2024. The new Minister of Youth and Sports of Sri Lanka, Honourable Sunil Kumara Gamagem, received the Cuban ambassador at the headquarters of the ministry he heads.
During the meeting, the ambassador explained to the minister about the sporting development that Cuba has achieved after the triumph of the revolution and the massification of sport, as well as the important achievements that the country has obtained in regional and world competitions.
The minister expressed his interest in strengthening ties in this sphere between the two countries.

Cuban ambassador to Sri Lanka participated in an act of solidarity with Palestine
Colombo, November 30. The ambassador of Cuba in Sri Lanka Andrés Marcelo González Garrido participated in an act of solidarity with Palestine, which was celebrated on November 29, a date decreed by the UN in 1977, as a global demand for respect for the sovereignty of this sister nation.
During the activity, members of the Sri Lankan government, representatives of organizations in solidarity with Palestine and different political parties spoke.

Sri Lankan Foreign Minister received Cuban ambassador
Colombo, November 25, 2024. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Foreign Employment of Sri Lanka, received Cuban ambassador Andrés Marcelo González Garrido at the Foreign Ministry.
