The removal of Cuba from the US State Department’s list of State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT) is a victory for the entire anti-imperialist world
On January 14, the US State Department took steps to remove Cuba from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT). This is a matter of great joy for the Bolivarian solidarity of Sri Lanka, which unconditionally stands in defense of the Cuban Revolution.

On January 14, 2025, the government of the United States announced the following decisions:

1. Remove Cuba from the State Department list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism;

2. Make use of the presidential faculty to prevent US courts from taking action with regards to lawsuits that might be filed by virtue of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act; and
