As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs timely informed, around 2 o’clock today, that is, in the early hours in the morning of today, Thursday, April 30, 2020, a terrorist attack was perpetrated against the embassy of the Republic of Cuba to the United States in Washington. An unidentified individual shot at the building of the Cuban embassy in the US using an assault rifle.
Aggression with fire arm against the Embassy of Cuba in the United States
In the early hours of Thursday, 30April 2020, an unknown individual opened fire with an assault weapon against the building of the Embassy of Cuba in the United States. There was no personal injury to the Mission staff, which is safe and protected, but there was material damage caused to the building resulting from the impact of the bullets.
The individual, about whose identity to the Cuban government has no information, was detained on site by local authorities and is under custody.

The impact of COVID19 can already be measured and will be assessed in the future by the striking numbers of people infected, the unacceptable numbers of deaths, the unquestionable damages to the world economy, production, trade, employment and personal income of millions of people. It is a crisis that goes well beyond the scope of health.
There are 14 Henry Reeve brigades fighting COVID-19
Fourteen brigades of the International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics "Henry Reeve", with 593 Cuban health professionals, fight in other nations the new coronavirus SARS CoV-2, causing COVID-19, of them, 179 are doctors, 399 nurses and 15 health technologists, 338 are women.
This new gesture will continue to distinguish the Cuban Revolution. The Henry Reeve brigades that today are helping other countries in no way jeopardize the health care of the Cuban people.
