Sri Lanka pays tribute to Che Guevara on the 53rd Anniversary of his assassination
SRI LANKA, October 9, 2020. - The Socialist Youth Union of Sri Lanka (SYU) and the officials of the Cuban Embassy paid floral tribute to Che Guevara on the 53rd anniversary of his assassination in Bolivia, along with the mahogany planted by the Heroic Guerrilla, during his visit to Sri Lanka in August 1959. This place is currently known as “Che Garden”.

SRI LANKA, October 9, 2020. - The Cuban Ambassador, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, paid a courtesy call on the new Minister of Industries of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Member of Parliament, Honorable Weemal Weerawansa.
During the meeting, both parties highlighted the historical and excellent relations of friendship and collaboration between the two countries, as well as expressed their interest in strengthening and expanding them.
