The Cuban people and the international community are aware of the dishonest campaign that the government of the United States has launched since 2019 to discredit Cuba’s international medical cooperation; exert pressure on the governments that have asked for it and deprive peoples of these health services.

The COVID-19 pandemic has adversely impacted all countries’ health, finances, economy, employment and society; but developing nations have been hit the worst.
Due to increased health expenses to address the pandemic and the loss of income as a result of paralyzed economy and foreign trade, tax, trade and balance of payments deficits of developing countries have increased, as well as their food insecurity.
Thailand and Cuba strengthen bilateral relations
Bangkok, 28 September, 2020.- The ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of Thailand, Héctor Conde Almeida, held a courtesy meeting with the new ambassador designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Cuba, H.E. Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, in which both sides confirmed the good state of bilateral relations and reiterated their mutual will to continue strengthening them, highlighting in particular the historical significance of the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations commemorated on 15 May, 2020.
