Cuba's Ministry of Public Health confirmed on Wednesday night the first three cases of the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in tourists from Italy.
 

In an official statement read on Cuban TV prime news hour the health authorities explained that the three Italian travelers arrived in Havana on Monday 9 and went to Trinidad, in the central province of Sancti Spíritus, where they were detected to have respiratory sysmptons.

Havana, March 10.- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez condemned on Friday the US government's decision to ban charter flights from the United States to all Cuban destinations except Havana.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced the new sanction on Friday, saying the move is designed to prevent the Cuban government from making profits from US air travel, which could be used to repress the Cuban people and support Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
