Cuba's Universal Health System Suffers Million-Dollar Damage due to U.S. Blockade.
New York, 30 September 2019. The damage caused by the implementation of the blockade against Cuba in the healthcare sector is undeniable. This hostile policy hinders the acquisition of technologies, raw materials, reagents, diagnostic aids, equipment and spare parts, as well as medicines for the treatment of serious diseases such as cancer. These consumables must be bought in faraway markets, often through intermediaries, and this necessarily increases their prices.

Cuba denounces the imposition of unilateral coercive measures at the Group of 77 and China meeting.
New York, 27 September 2019. In her statement at the 43rd Ministerial Meeting of the Group of 77 and China, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, stressed the need to maintain unity and cohesion within the Group, as well as to defend its role as the main negotiation and consultation forum among developing countries, at a time when the current imperialist neoliberal fundamentalism has placed humanity in a highly complex and dangerous international scenario.
Cuba and Malta sign Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of Political Consultations.
New York, 26 September 2019. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion of the Republic of Malta signed today a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of Political Consultations, with the objective of strengthening bilateral relations through dialogue and mutual cooperation, in accordance with the objectives and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963.
