Pretoria, July 1st, 2022.- Like all countries, Cuba is going through a difficult economic situation influenced by the global crisis, the prices of fuel, food and transportation, in addition to the effects of more than 2 years of pandemic. The attempts to establish opinion in the media that Cuba is facing a massive humanitarian crisis are unfound. Falsehoods, fictitious legends and their propagation in the media are used to internationally generate the image of a country socially unstable and in political crisis.
The Cuban Chargé d´Affaires in Washington DC, Lianys Torres Rivera, highlited on Twitter that on June 26th, friends of the New York-New Jersey CubaSi Coalition gathered at the Diversity Plaza to demand the end of the Blockade against Cuba.
She added that "once again, the voice of the US people is clear asking for friendship, solidarity or engagement instead of coercive measures".
