Monrovia, April 30, 2021 - The staff of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, with the historical continuity of the Revolution, turns the Embassy into a tribune and joins the celebration of May Day, demanding the lifting of the unjust and criminal blockade, which not only affects all Cubans, but also other peoples who today need our solidarity aid; and recognizing the extraordinary effort made today by more than 600 Cuban doctors and specialists who, as part of the Henry Reeve Internationalist Contingent, face the pandemic in different countries.
The United Seychelles Party has sent “heartfelt congratulations” to the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermùdez, on his appointment as the new First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba.
In his letter of congratulations, the leader of the United Seychelles party, Dr Patrick Herminie, writes:
“We feel, indeed, privileged to have established diplomatic ties with your country since 1978; a longstanding friendship, built on mutual understanding and a strong sense of united purpose.
Monrovia, March 27, 2021 - Gathered at the "Tropicana" stage located in Painesville, Montserrado County, with our flag next to the Liberian flag, friends in solidarity condemned the US blockade of Cuba and supported the world caravan for the end of the blockade.
The initiative of the caravan against the US blockade of Cuba was supported today from Liberia, as evidence that solidarity cannot be blocked.
Monrovia, March 25, 2021.- Members of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group graduated from Cuba followed with attention the virtual conference "Cuba for Life: Experiences in confronting COVID-19" promoted by the "Sao Paulo Forum" as part of the Campaign #BlockadeNoSolidarityYes.
The event was an excellent occasion to note the signs of solidarity of brothers and sisters around the world, and the recognition of our science and health experts for the work they do.
Monrovia, March 19, 2021.- In the afternoon, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Acting Chancellor of the Republic of Liberia, Honorable Henry B. Fahnbulleh.
The cordial meeting was conducive to exchange on matters of mutual interest in the bilateral and multilateral arena. Both sides stressed the importance of further strengthening ties between the two countries.
