British trade union support for Cuban health care

The UK Labour Party's annual conference, held this week in the city of Liverpool, was the first since the party's victory on 4 July after 14 years of Conservative Party (Tory) governments.
The event brought together representatives of Britain's main trade unions, including UNISON and UNITE, which have historically backed Labour. It was also attended by members and leaders of other national unions.

Unions raise over £100,000 to help Cuba overcome medical blockade
Tuesday, 24 September, 2024. Trade unions have raised £100,000 for the Cuba Vive anti-blockade medical aid appeal, Labour conference delegates heard on Monday night.
UK in solidarity with Cuba
The UK Labour Party, winner of the 4 July elections after 14 years of Conservative rule, will hold its Annual Conference on 22-25 September in Liverpool. The participation of representatives of various trade unions from across the country, alongside MPs, reinforces the significance of the event.
