London, 24 April 2024- During a solidarity event with Cuba yesterday afternoon at the annual conference of the Communications Union (CWU), General Secretary Dave Ward called for the lifting of the US blockade of Cuba. ‘It is unacceptable that more than 80% of Cubans were born under the blockade,’ the British trade union leader emphasised while assuring that Cuba can always count on his support.

London, 22 April 2024- This month the Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, held a cordial meeting with the General Secretary of the  Communist Party of Britain (CPB), Robert Griffiths.

Vargas Walter expressed her deepest thanks to Griffiths for the traditional solidarity given by the CPB and its youth organisation, the Young Communist League, to the Cuban people, against the blockade imposed by the US government for more than 60 years and in defence of Cuba's sovereignty and self-determination.
