London, November 11, 2022-. The Association "Cubanos in UK" joined the solidarity initiative "A Ton of Love for Pinar del Río".
From the hands of Miriam Palacios, member of the leadership of the aforementioned Association, 100 kilograms of basic necessities were sent from the United Kingdom to Paris, where, early today, the caravan of Cubans in Europe started its journey to support Cuba.
Welsh Parliament Member has tabled a statement of solidarity with Cuba
London, 9 November 2022- Plaid Cymru Member of the Welsh Parliament (known as the Senedd) Luke Fletcher has tabled a statement of opinion expressing solidarity with the people of Cuba and urging the Welsh government to develop ties with the Caribbean island in areas of mutual interest.
The statement, officially tabled on 4 November a day after the UN vote on the Cuban resolution against the blockade, has so far been signed by 10 of the 60 members of the Welsh Parliament.

Miriam Palacios, member of the leadership of the "Cubans in the UK" Association, expressed the commitment of Cubans living in the UK to continue building bridges of love towards their homeland and to fight against the US blockade of Cuba.
Cuban Culture Day celebrated in the UK with Martí's poems
London, 21 October 2022- The reading of poems by Cuba's National Hero, José Martí (1853-1895), translated into English by British writer and journalist Adam Feinstein, marked the celebration here today of Cuban Culture Day.
On this significant date, we have decided to pay tribute to José Martí, in his work as an intellectual, poet and great man of Cuban culture and Spanish letters, explained the Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Bárbara Montalvo, at the event held on Thursday at the London headquarters of the Cervantes Institute.
