Jessica Lang begins ballet show in Havana

Havana, September 1st 

The part will be called Joyful We and was conceived by Jessica Lang exclusively for the National Ballet of Cuba (BNC). It will be a highlight of the Alicia Alonso International Ballet Festival of Havana, which will take place between October and November in this capital.

“This trip is a special experience,” the choreographer told a small group of reporters on Thursday, minutes before one of the planned rehearsals.

People from the US demand the end of the blockade, as part of global campaign

On August 27 and 28, pepople around the world gathered to denounce the Blockade imposed by the US government against Cuba. On these dates, several caravans were held calling for an end to this unjust policy that harms all Cubans and constitutes the main obstacle for the country's economic development.

US citizens demand the end of the blockade

On August, 27th friends of Cuba gathered at Reverend Dorlimar Lebron’s Church in New York in solidarity with the Cuban families worldwide who want the United States to end the economic blockade.

The iniative is part of a broader movement within the US that demand a change of the US policy towards Cuba and advocate for better bilateral relations. 

Specialists from the US and Cuba exchange experiences in environmental sanitation and rehabilitation tasks related to the disaster in Matanzas

Havana, August 26, 2022.- On August 24, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) hosted a virtual meeting between Cuban specialists involved in the rehabilitation of the areas affected by the accident from the Matanzas Supertanker base, and US specialists from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

During the meeting, which took place in a professional and fruitful exchange environment, both parties discussed the possible ways of cooperation to achieve the rehabilitation of the most affected areas.
