U.S.-Cuba agricultural conference held
Representatives of the agricultural sectors of Cuba and the United States will begin today a fifth bilateral conference, given the interest in establishing normal and mutually advantageous economic and trade relations.
The inauguration of the meeting will take place in the capital's Hotel Nacional, declared a National Monument in 1998 and inscribed in the Memory of the World Register of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) since 2008.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has learned, with deep concern, about the judgment delivered by a judge of the Court of the District of Columbia in the United States on May 1st, 2024, who acquitted Alexander Alazo Baró of the four charges he faced as a result of the terrorist attack he had perpetrated against the Cuban Embassy to the United States during the early hours of morning of April 30, 2020, claiming the insanity of the perpetrator.

After three days of an intense bilateral agenda, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel concluded today his working visit to the Russian Federation.
On Thursday, May 9, the Cuban president held a meeting at the Grand Kremlin Palace with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, where both reaffirmed the good level of bilateral relations, as well as the importance of the celebration of the 79th anniversary of the Day of Victory over Fascism.
Díaz-Canel honors Fidel Castro in Moscow
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today paid tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro (1926-2016), in the Russian capital.
The Caribbean nation's president arrived in Moscow's Sokol district with the delegation accompanying him on his working visit to the Eurasian giant to lay a wreath to the undefeated commander-in-chief.
"To the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution of the Cuban people," reads the bands on the floral arrangement deposited by Diaz-Canel.
Library of Congress adds more poems by Nancy Morejón.
As of today, another 12 poems by Cuban poet laureate Nancy Morejón enrich the sound heritage of the U.S. Library of Congress.
Morejon, winner of the 2001 National Literature Award, visiting this capital as part of a tour that took her to the University of Missouri-Columbia in Missouri, San Francisco, California, Chicago, Illinois, and will conclude in New York, was received Tuesday morning at the prestigious institution.
