UN: U.S. blockade of Cuba violates international and human rights law
UN experts qualify the blockade against Cuba as a violation of International Law and the human rights of its people, an official source assured today.
According to the Cubaminrex website, this position was expressed by the Special Rapporteurs of the United Nations Human Rights Council on the Right to Food, the Right to Development, Extreme Poverty and the Negative Impact of Unilateral Coercive Measures on the enjoyment of human rights.
The second edition of BioHabana 2024 will be held in Cuba.
From April 1 to 5, the Cuban resort city of Varadero will hold the second edition of BioHabana 2024, an event aimed at exchanging experiences on the interconnection of innovation ecosystems at a global level.
According to the information published on the event's website, this second edition, to be held at Varadero's Plaza America Convention Center, will become a space for the construction of collaboration networks among scientists, opinion leaders, entrepreneurs, businessmen and a total number of more than 1,300 delegates, including important speakers.

The institution Casa de las Americas convenes in Cuba the VI International Colloquium of Studies on Native Cultures of the Americas, to be held from October 15 to 18, 2024.
The forum will be dedicated to the theme Counter-hegemonic Alternatives from the sciences and native knowledge, according to the institution.
III International Scientific Congress is held in the province of Cuba.
The III International Scientific University-Society Congress (Unisoc2024) starts today in the Cuban province of Matanzas and will last until March 28 with the aim of promoting knowledge towards sustainable development.
With more than 700 participants from eight countries, Unisoc will be held at the Plaza America Convention Center in Varadero and the University of Matanzas (UM) and under the slogan For a society of learning towards sustainable development, the event brings together prestigious Cuban and foreign scientists and academics, with Honduras as guest of honor.
