Vietnam’s sending donation of rice to Cuba from Ho Chi Minh City

A donation of 1,200 tons of rice from the Communist Party, the State, and the people of Ho Chi Minh City is ready at the Cat Lai port on Wednesday to be shipped to Cuba.

Vietnamese President values documentary series on ties with Cuba

Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong highly valued the efforts of the Ministries of Defense of his country and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba for the making of the documentary Two Hearts in One Heartbeat. The connection between the noble revolutionary ideals and the desire to fight for independence, freedom and national liberation fostered sympathy and understanding between the peoples of Vietnam and Cuba, creating a special and beautiful symbolic relationship, he stressed.

Top Cuban legislator starts Vietnam visit

President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez arrived in Hanoi on September 24, beginning a five-day visit to Vietnam to attend a ceremony to mark 50 years of leader Fidel Castro’s trip to the liberated zone in Southern Vietnam. Welcoming the Cuban leader at the Noi Bai International Airport were Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc.

VUFO President pays courtesy call to leader of Cuban legislature

A delegation from the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) led by its Vice President Nguyen Ngoc Hung paid a courtesy call to President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernandez in Hanoi on September 24.

Hernandez will represent leaders of the Cuban Party and State to attend a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of leader Fidel Castro’s trip to the liberated zone in Southern Vietnam.
