Embassy attends International Workshop on President Ho Chi Minh

The Cuban Embassy participated in the International Workshop “Ho Chi Minh´s legacy for Vietnamese cultural diplomacy”, held this October 29 in the central province of Nghe An, where venerable Uncle Ho was born.

On behalf of Cuba, the official in charge of political and economic issues, Ambassador Carlos Alfredo Amores Balbín, mentioned the confluence of the distinguished Vietnamese leader´s thought with the Cuban Revolution foreign policy.

Present Cuba in Marathon for Peace held in Hanoi

This September 29, the Cuban Embassy participated in the 46th edition of the Marathon for Peace, organized by the Popular Committee of the capital city, the  Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, and Hanoi Moi newspaper.

During the pre-competition ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the event highlighted the Embassy of Cuba outstanding participation  in these annual competitions.

Embassy attends a Congress of Vietnam Cuba Friendship Association in Hai Duong

The Embassy of Cuba was present at the second Congress of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association (AAVC) in Hai Duong Province, which took place on September 27 in that territory of northern Vietnam.

The event brought together several generations of vietnamese graduated in Cuba, who now work in this province in sectors such as health, construction, and government institutions .

Cuba participates in the celebrations for the 74th Anniversary of the Independence of Vietnam organized by the Embassy of Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Mongolia.

Raúl and Díaz-Canel receive Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Vietnames leaders welcomed Cuban First Vice President

The first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, was welcomed in Hanoi by the Secretary General of Vietnam Communist Party (VCP), the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, and the leader of the National Assembly.

Valdés Mesa talked with the leader of VCP, Nguyen Phu Trong, about the importance of his last visit to Cuba, last March, when both countries reached new agreements in order to expand bilateral political and economic ties.

Cuba sends condolences to Vietnam after floods consequences

On behalf of Cuban Government and the Cuban people, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez expressed condolences to Vietnam after the human and material damages caused by recent floods in the northern part of the Indochinese country.

In a letter addressed to President Tran Dai Quang, and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Cuban head of State and Government extended his message to the family of the victims of the natural disaster.

Cuban ambassador, Lianys Torres Rivera, spoke with the Vietnamese News Agency (VNA) about the excellent bilateral ties, on the occasion of the upcoming visit to Cuba by the leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam (PCV), Nguyen Phu Trong.

The Cuban diplomat evoked the Vietnamese leader's last visit to Cuba in 2012, when he met the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, and received, from the President Raúl Castro Ruz, the José Martí Order, maximum distinction granted by the Cuban State.
