Cuba and Vietnam celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations in Hanoi

Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Pham Binh Minh, declared that Cuba is an important and reliable partner of the Indochinese nation, by intervening in an act to celebrate 60 years of bilateral diplomatic relations.

Chancellor stated that both countries have built a close friendship, comprehensive and deep cooperation relationship between the two Parties, Governments and Parliaments, as well as at all local and central levels, and between socio-political organizations and associations.

Vietnam Prime Minister receives Cuban ambassador

Prime Minister of Vietnam, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, received the Cuban ambassador, Lianys Torres Rivera, at the end of her mission in this country.

Xuan Phuc affirmed that the Vietnamese people have very much in mind the phrase of the historical leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro "For Vietnam, Cuba is willing to give even its own blood", and that Vietnam will always be at Cuba's side.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Cuban Government for sending medical experts to help Vietnam cope with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cuba adheres to ASEAN Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, signed the instrument of accession of Cuba to the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), during a ceremony within the framework of the 37th Summit of the Association of Nations of the Southeast Asia, made virtually.

The event was attended by the foreign ministers of the ten member countries of that regional organization and the Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Vietnam, Pham Binh Minh, representing the country that presides over ASEAN in 2020.

Cuba embraces Vietnam

First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, and President of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel sent messages of condolences to the Vietnamese people in the wake of damage caused by recent storms.

Prensa Latina reports that the Cuban leaders expressed their concern upon hearing news of damages caused by the heavy rains and floods in Vietnam’s central provinces.

President of Vietnam Fatherland Front reiterates opposition to the US blockade against Cuba

Vietnam Fatherland Front reiterates its rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for almost 60 years: President of that organization, Tran Thanh Man, said in Hanoi.

The statement was issued  in a meeting with the Cuban ambassador, Lianys Torres Rivera, to review the cooperation between that organization and its counterpart on the island, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR).

President of Vietnam Fatherland Front welcomed Ambassador of Cuba

President of Vietnam Fatherland Front, Tran Thanh Man, and Ambassador of Cuba, Lianys Torres Rivera, echanged in Hanoi about the cooperation between that organization and its Cuban counterpart, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR).

By mentioning the activities organized on the occasion of CDR 60th anniversary (9-28-20), Ambassador gave Thanh Man an invitation from CDR National Coordinator to join an online seminar to conmemorate that date.

75th Anniversary of the Independence of Vietnam in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. September 2, 2020. Invited by Ambassador Excma. Mrs. Doan Thi Huong, Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción participated this September 2nd, in the event held at the diplomatic mission of this sister country in Ulaanbaatar to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the independence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Vietnamese revolution of August 1945 ended 80 years of colonial rule, abolished the monarchy, and reestablished Vietnam as an independent nation under the leadership of the undisputed historical leader Ho Chi Minh.
