Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, May 6, 2019.- The Ambassador of Cuba in Mongolia, Raúl Delgado Concepción, arrived at the Vietnamese Embassy in Mongolia to offer condolences on behalf of the people and Government of the Island for the recent death of Le Duc Anh, who was a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam and former president of that sister nation.

Vietnames leaders welcomed Cuban First Vice President

The first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, was welcomed in Hanoi by the Secretary General of Vietnam Communist Party (VCP), the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, and the leader of the National Assembly.

Valdés Mesa talked with the leader of VCP, Nguyen Phu Trong, about the importance of his last visit to Cuba, last March, when both countries reached new agreements in order to expand bilateral political and economic ties.

Cuba sends condolences to Vietnam after floods consequences

On behalf of Cuban Government and the Cuban people, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez expressed condolences to Vietnam after the human and material damages caused by recent floods in the northern part of the Indochinese country.

In a letter addressed to President Tran Dai Quang, and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Cuban head of State and Government extended his message to the family of the victims of the natural disaster.

The Cuban diplomat evoked the Vietnamese leader's last visit to Cuba in 2012, when he met the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, and received, from the President Raúl Castro Ruz, the José Martí Order, maximum distinction granted by the Cuban State.

Vietnamese press reflects upcoming visit to Cuba by General Secretary of the Communist Party

The announcement of the state visit to Cuba by the general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (VCP), Nguyen Phu Trong, was headline on Vietnamese national media.

The Vietnamese News Agency (VNA) published a note on the visit of the leader of the VCP to the Caribbean country between the 28th and 30th of the current month, in response to an invitation from the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Raúl Castro Ruz.

“Vietnam is on the side of Cuba in any circumstances”, President Tran Dai Quang.

Vietnam's president, Tran Dai Quang, reaffirmed his country's willingness to stand side by side with Cuba in any difficult situation, during the meeting here with Leopoldo Cintra Frías, minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the Caribbean island.

After emphasizing and thanking Cuba's support for Vietnam, both in the struggle for independence in the past and in the construction and national safeguard in the present, Tran Dai Quang expressed his satisfaction with the development of the bilateral cooperation in all spheres.

Cuba and Vietnam signed health cooperation agreements to strengthen the cooperation in this sector, through which the island will provide professional services to the Indochina nation.

One of the documents was signed by Juana María Larrea, on behalf of Cuban Medic al Services (CSMC) and Vu Thi Thanh Giang, from the International General Hospital Thu Cuc, in the presence of the deputy minister Marcia Cobas, who led the delegation of the Caribbean country.
