The most read online newspaper in Vietnam highlights pediatric vaccination and strategy to “stop the omicron wave” in Cuba

The digital newspaper VnExpress highlighted last Saturday that “massive vaccination coverage in Cuba and the early plan to inoculate its children were essential to defeat omicron on the island.”

In an article entitled “Strategies to help Cuba defeat omicron”, the Vietnamese journal said that the vaccination strategy against Covid-19, with a particular focus on young children, was the key measure of the Cuban government to face the new SARS-CoV-2 variant.

Cuba and Vietnam to continue strengthening special solidarity and friendship in 2022

Ambassador of Cuba presents Letter of credence to the President of Vietnam

The head of the Cuban Mission in Vietnam, Orlando Hernández Guillén, presented today the letters that accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Indochinese country.

In delivering the official documents to Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the Cuban diplomat highlighted the special relations of brotherhood, companionship and mutual trust between the two nations, promoted by the historical leaders Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh.

Efficacy of 91.2% with two doses of Soberana 02 and one of Soberana Plus

The combination of two doses of the candidate vaccine Soberana 02 and one of Soberana Plus, administered in a 0-28-56 day regimen, was found to have an efficacy of 91.2 percent, in preventing symptomatic cases of COVID-19, reported Dr. Vicente Vérez Bencomo, director of the Finlay Vaccine Institute (IFV), at Thursday's meeting of the Cuban government’s COVID-19 prevention and control task force.
