Advances in the Cuban vaccine against COVID-19 highlighted in Vietnamese press

Vietnamese newspaper Tuoi Tre recently underlined that Cuba is about to achieve an extraordinary achievement in the global race for COVID-19 vaccines.

When informing that the Caribbean country would begin the third phase trials of the Sovereign-02 vaccine, the media stressed that this scientific success is obtained despite the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for decades and the increase in sanctions under the term of former President Donald Trump.

Raúl held a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Army General Raúl Castro, and the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of that nation, Nguyen Phu Trong, held a fraternal telephone conversation, after the celebration of the XIII Congress of the Vietnamese political organization.

Army General congratulated friend Phu Trong on his reelection as head of the Party. He praised the results of the conclave and thanked the brother country for its unconditional support for the Cuban Revolution.

Henry Reeve International Contingent is nominated in Vietnam for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize

Vietnamese academics and intellectuals nominated the Cuban International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics, Henry Reeve, for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.

Professors from senior educational centers  joined this initiative, including researchers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, attached to the National University of Vietnam, based in Hanoi, and the Interdisciplinary Institute for Culture, Language and Development of Education .
