Despite the US blockade, Cuba shows several achievements in terms of child welfare
Cubaminrex, New York, 12 February 2020.- Child welfare is a purpose inherent to the Cuban social project and its full compliance is implemented by social policies, programs and projects in the fields of health, education, social security and others. These services are widespread at national level and today they are free and universal for every child, with particular attention to ensuring access for the most vulnerable people. This was expressed by Ambassador Oscar León González, Chargé d´Affaires a.i. of the Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations, during the first regular session of the UNICEF Executive Board and the adoption of the Country Programme for Cuba.
Interferon alfa 2B: The Cuban medicine used in China against coronavirus.
The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, acknowledged the self-denial of the Government of China in the confrontation with the coronavirus 2019-NCOV, with tangible results in the cure of more than 1,500 patients.

Cuba denounces U.S. crusade against its international medical cooperation
Embacuba Zambia, 30 January 2020. The government of the United States has deployed, as from last year, an intensive and defamatory campaign against the medical cooperation offered by Cuba.
The campaign also include a program designed to fund actions and information searches to discredit and sabotage the international cooperation being provided by Cuba in the health area in dozens of countries for the benefit of millions of persons. This is an endeavor added to the crude pressures exercised against a number of governments in order to obstruct Cuban cooperation
