The Speaker of the Parliament of Zimbabwe, Dr. Jacob Mudenda, received the Ambassador of Cuba Carmelina Ramirez on Monday morning, March 5th. In an extended meeting, the Zimbabwean politician praised the historic relations between his country and the Caribbean island based on mutual respect and cooperation. He recalled his recent visit to Cuba, last October, which he valued as unforgettable.
Presents Letters of Style Ambassador of Cuba in Zimbabwe
On the morning of Thursday, February 15, the Ambassador of Cuba in Zimbabwe presented letters of style to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Sibusiso Moyo. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe, S. Moyo, said that his government will continue to consolidate the historic relations that have existed in Cuba. “Zimbabwe does not forget its friends. Cuba has always been with us in the most difficult moments, from the times of the struggle for our independence until today, supporting us against Western sanctions.
Chief of Protocol receives Ambassador of Cuba
On the morning of February 14, the Chief of Protocol of the Presidency, Ambassador M. S. Kajese, received in his office the Cuban ambassador Carmelina Ramirez on the eve of the presentation of the Credentials. During the meeting Ambassador Kajese recalled the role played by Cuba in the liberation struggles in Africa, and the essential support of Fidel after the independence of Zimbabwe. He recognized the Cuban health system as one of the best in the world and showed interest in expanding collaboration in that sector in the near future.
