In an extended meeting, the Zimbabwean politician praised the historic relations between his country and the Caribbean island based on mutual respect and cooperation. He recalled his recent visit to Cuba, last October, which he valued as unforgettable.

Chief of Protocol receives Ambassador of Cuba
On the morning of February 14, the Chief of Protocol of the Presidency, Ambassador M. S. Kajese, received in his office the Cuban ambassador Carmelina Ramirez on the eve of the presentation of the Credentials. During the meeting Ambassador Kajese recalled the role played by Cuba in the liberation struggles in Africa, and the essential support of Fidel after the independence of Zimbabwe. He recognized the Cuban health system as one of the best in the world and showed interest in expanding collaboration in that sector in the near future.
