Dili, February 1, 2026. The workshop “From Policy to Practice: A Decade on the Front Lines of the Fight Against Corruption in Timor-Leste,” led by National Anti-Corruption Strategy Consultant Jonas Guterres, took place in the World Bank's meeting room.
Details were provided on how the country has developed a policy to combat various forms of illegal activity, as well as the laws that have been organized and implemented to support this work.
Members of the diplomatic corps attended the event, including the Ambassador of the Philippines, officials from the embassies of China and Brunei, and, representing Cuba, Chief of Mission Alina Aldama, who had the opportunity to exchange views with Sofía Gonzaga, a World Bank official and moderator of the meeting.
