For the first time, under the auspices and collaboration of the Barbados Export Company, Cuba will exhibit some products of our national production at Agrofest'24. Next week the Cuban delegation will travel to Barbados with representatives from the Ministry of Food Industry of Cuba and LABIOFAM. The Cuban stand will be exhibiting a variety of food and bio-products for agricultural sanitary control. Undoubtedly, exhibiting and publicizing this sample of our national production is an opportunity to stimulate exports and trade from our country to the Caribbean, while allowing us to strengthen ties in the region.
Agrofest'24 is an agricultural and popular fair held every year in Barbados to showcase the symbiotic relationship between agriculture and other aspects of the national economy, as well as to reinforce the country's food security through the delivery of homegrown food and by-products. It also aims to educate generations of Barbadians about the importance of growing their own food, which yields considerable health, social and economic benefits. This year, the fair will take place from February 23 to 25 at the Parque de la Reina, a venue where national and international producers exhibit their agricultural, typical and traditional products of the highest quality, so that the fair will be open to the public.
