Cuban ambassador holds meeting with Sierra Leonean Deputy Minister and Director General of Foreign Affairs 

Freetown, March 4, 2026 – Cuban Ambassador Norma Sanchez Aguila held a working meeting with the Honorable Frances Piagie Alghali, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Sierra Leone, accompanied by Mr. Alan Norma Sanchez Aguila, held a working meeting with the Honorable Frances Piagie Alghali, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Sierra Leonean Foreign Ministry, accompanied by Mr. Alan Charles Logan, Director General, and the Deputy Director of the Americas Directorate, Mr. Christopher Bockery, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
During the pleasant exchange, the parties addressed bilateral and international issues with the aim of continuing to strengthen relations between their countries and coordinating positions in multilateral forums.
During the meeting, Sanchez Aguila outlined the critical situation facing the archipelago due to the intensification of US policy. In this regard, he denounced “the growing aggression of the United States against Cuba, in particular the blockade of fuel supplies, which is causing suffering to our people.”
