Cuban delegation held an exchange with the President of Barbados at Agrofest'24.

Last Saturday, February 24, the Cuban delegation made up of representatives of the Ministry of Food Industry of Cuba and LABIOFAM, held an exchange with Sandra Prunella Mason, President of Barbados, who visited the Cuban stand at Agrofest'24. She was interested in the sample of our national products that were on display, about which the specialists of both Cuban institutions provided detailed information.

The fair took place from 23 to 25 February at the Queen's Park, with the presence of Barbadian producers and producers from countries such as Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela, Brazil and Cuba. For the first time, under the auspices and in collaboration with the Barbados Export Company, our country was able to participate in Agrofest'24 to exhibit food and bio-products for agricultural sanitary control. The Cuban delegation held meetings with Indar Weir, Minister of Agriculture of Barbados, Wayne McCook, Assistant Secretary General for the Single Market and Trade of CARICOM and Mark Hill, Director of Export Barbados and the Barbados Food Research Centre.

Our participation in this fair, in addition to being successful in terms of knowledge sharing, is an opportunity to strengthen ties in the region and stimulate export and trade from our country to the Caribbean.
