Cuban Foreign Minister Denounces New U.S. Measures Against Cuban Companies and Officials

Havana, August 21, 2026. – The United States Secretary of State continues to punish Cuban companies with the deliberate purpose of harming our economy and preventing the Cuban government from guaranteeing basic services to the population—which are already in a critical situation due to the blockade—denounced Cuba's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, via his X account.

The Cuban Foreign Minister stressed that these measures particularly hinder the transport of containers carrying food, medicines, and medical devices, largely purchased by Cuban private micro, small and medium size enterprises.

In his failed obsession against Cuba, the Secretary of State is now adding executives and officials of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) to the list—an institution that for more than six decades has promoted friendship, international solidarity, justice, and peace, Rodríguez Parrilla underscored.

The minister considered that these values are the complete opposite of what the Secretary of State has always promoted through his corrupt policy against Cuba.
