Embassy of Cuba in the Kingdom of the Netherlands participates in the Hispanic Days 2019

The Hague, 27 October. A representation of the Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands participated last Saturday in a full program of the Hispanic Days organized by the Union of Hispanic and Hispanic American Associations of Rotterdam, with the focus on “Guernica and Rotterdam, two soulless cities between 1937 and 1940”.

The full program carried out included discussions two works of art: Pablo Picasso´s “Guernica” and “New Heart” by Russian sculptor Ossip Zadkine, which reflect the pain and wave of devastation caused by war. The Hispanic Days also encompassed musical performances and a guided city tour.

An important number of BENELUX's associated organizations  attended the event which provided the opportunity to exchange with theirs representatives on the relevance of this year 2019 for Cuba in the context of the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuba Revolution and the 500 years of Havana, which main activities will take place the next month of November.
