Statement of the Antigua and Barbuda–Cuba Friendship Association on the 60th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution
The Antigua and Barbuda – Cuba Friendship Association joins the heroic people of Cuba and the progressive people of the World in the commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution. January 1st, 1959, marks not only the end of the capitalist domination of Cuba, but also the beginning of a truly liberated and free Cuba.
This landmark anniversary has given us the opportunity to reflect on the myriad of achievements and successes of the Cuban revolutionary experience. Chief among them are the advances made in the field of medicine, sports, education, and the far reaching effect of the Internationalist policy of sharing these advances with the people of the world. Never has there been such a small country with such limited resources that has contributed so much to the development of under-developed states in Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
The beneficiaries of the Cuban Revolution are not just the Cuban People but mankind in general.
Long live the Cuban Revolution!
