Friends in solidarity and Cuban residents in the Netherlands condemn the US unilateral blockade policy against Cuba

The Hague, 4 November 2019. Last Saturday 2 of November members of the Ethio-Cubans Association and the Association of Cuban Residents in The Netherlands carried out a vigorous condemnation against the unilateral, unjust and unhuman policy of blockade that the United States maintains against Cuba which has been in place for more than 60 years.

The effects of a severe weather, incessant rain, wind and low temperatures were not impediment to deter the demonstration which took to the streets of high symbolism of the Dutch city, from the Lower House of the Parliament, the Peace Palace, the Seat of the International Court of Justice and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA).

The walk concluded across the Residence of the US Ambassador in the European country where they demanded the end of this indiscriminate, obsolete policy, which constitutes a violation of all the principles of International Law. The phrases: Unblock Cuba! ¡No more Blockade!  and Long Live Cuba! were chanted by the demonstrators.   The participants also carried Cuban flags and large banners in a demonstration that took place in the Dutch city for the first time
