Amsterdam, June 7, 2026. A meeting with members of organizations supporting Cuba took place this Sunday in the Dutch capital.
On this occasion, Ambassador Eva Yelina Silva Walker spoke about the humanitarian impact of the criminal oil blockade and the successive measures of coercion and blackmail by the U.S. government against Cuba, as well as the resistance of a people determined not to yield or surrender their hard-won independence.
Silva Walker condemned Washington’s hostility and the mendacious arguments of its spokespeople, who are bent on justifying the genocide being committed against the Caribbean nation, in violation of fundamental principles and norms of international relations and the global legal framework.
Referring to the infamous accusation against Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, he noted that it was yet another vile fabrication in an attempt to discredit and destroy the image of Cuban leaders. He highlighted the esteem, respect, and admiration the people hold for someone who has been a pillar of the Cuban Revolution.
At the end of the evening, a video presentation was shown on the challenges faced by health centers due to the economic, commercial, and financial blockade against Cuba, which has lasted for over six decades and has escalated to unprecedented levels.
