New York, 8 June 2017. The Cuban Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, José Fidel Santana Núñez, held a meeting with Ambassador Kees Rade, Inclusive Green Growth Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands and head of his country’s delegation to the United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: “Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development”.
Both parts exchanged on environmental issues and considered possibilities and interests of cooperation in measures to adapt to climate change, based on the Netherlands’ experience on recovery of beaches and coastal protection.
