Freetown, September 10, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Norma Sánchez Águila, received a courtesy visit from the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Ms. Edleen Elba.
At the Cuban Embassy, both parties held a cordial meeting, in which they highlighted the bonds of solidarity that unite both nations and reaffirmed their willingness to work together to promote bilateral relations in the economic and commercial spheres.
The Cuban diplomat thanked Ms. Edleen Elba for her visit, reiterating her appreciation for the solidarity of the Sierra Leonean people with the Cuban people in their struggle against the unjust and cruel economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba for more than 60 years.
