Cuba participará este lunes en 73a Asamblea Mundial de la Salud
El Ministro de Salud Pública de Cuba, Dr. José Angel Portal Miranda, intervendrá este lunes en la 73a Asamblea Mundial de la Salud, que se realizará de forma virtual debido a la actual pandemia de la COVID-19, informó a través de sus cuentas en redes sociales el Ministerio de Salud de la Isla.
La sesión de trabajo será transmitida a través del canal de Youtube del Minsap, en vivo, desde las 6:00 a. m. (hora de Cuba), que es cuando inicia la Asamblea.

Cuba reports 10 new cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours
Havana, May 15 - The National Director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Duran, reported that there were 10 new cases of COVID-19, for an total of 1,840 positive cases across the island.
During his daily press briefing held Friday morning, Dr. Duran said that over the past 24 hours -- up to 12 midnight Thursday night -- fortunately, no patients died from the coronavirus. It was the second consecutive day that no deaths have been recorded from the virus on the island. There are a total of 79 who have died from COVID-19 in Cuba.
Cuba signs deal with UN financial agency
Rome, May 15 - The Cuban permanent representative to international organizations headquartered in this capital, Jose Carlos Rodriguez, signed this Friday a financing deal with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The Cooperative Agroforestry Development Project (PRODECAFE) between Cuba and the UN agency aims to contribute to the sustainable development of Cuba's agroforestry sector, to strengthen food security and improve the living conditions of rural families.
Parte de cierre del día 14 de mayo a las 12 de la noche
Al cierre del día de ayer, 14 de mayo, se encuentran ingresados en hospitales para vigilancia clínico epidemiológica 913 pacientes. Otras 2 mil 947 personas se vigilan en sus hogares, desde la Atención Primaria de Salud.
Para COVID-19 se estudiaron dos mil 232 muestras, resultando 10 muestras positivas. El país acumula 77 mil 374 muestras realizadas y mil 840 positivas (2,4%). Por tanto, al cierre del día de ayer se confirman 10 nuevos casos, para un acumulado de mil 840 en el país.
