Ambassadors inaugurate Women's Empowerment Workshop at the Monrovia Christian Youth Association

With the presence of the Ambassadors of South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, and Cuba, a women's empowerment workshop was inaugurated at the Young Men's Christian Association in Monrovia.

Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Argüelles, in addition to denouncing the unjust and cruel blockade to which Cuban women are subjected and the intensification of US aggression, urged the young women present to participate in the education of other women. She noted that women as mothers, workers, and homemakers are essential in the formation of values and principles. Therefore, no role is small or insignificant, and it is up to young Liberian women to find their own path to emancipation.

In addition to paying tribute to Cuban women fighters and combatants, the Cuban Ambassador highlighted the political achievements of Cuban women, who, starting with economic independence, have expanded their presence in all spheres of the country.
