The Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, was received at the headquarters of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) party, by its Secretary General Nathaniel McGill.
The executive expressed his appreciation for Cuba's social achievements, his perseverance despite the blockade, and thanked Cuba for its continued support to the African peoples, particularly Liberia in the areas of health and human resources training. He expressed the interest of his political organization to strengthen ties with Cuba, as they admire our nation and the figure of Fidel Castro.
For his part, the Cuban diplomat presented a brief review of the historical cultural ties, collaboration and friendship between Cuba and Africa and ratified the commitment of the Cuban Revolution to the continent. He also explained aspects of the history, organization and functioning of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and its role in the direction of society and the Cuban State.
